The intent of this PT/ILC is to provide a means for participant laboratories to determine the appropriateness and effectiveness of participant practices, training, and measurement uncertainty calculations relating to the calibration of Cylindrical Plug Gages.
This program involves the measurement of the outside diameter of plain plug gages in the range 0.1 - 2.8 inches. Reference values are obtained by mechanical comparison. This program is suitable for participants who measure plain plug gages by mechanical comparison or similar methods, whose uncertainties are not significantly smaller than the typical reference uncertainties, and who calculate their uncertainties per the method of the ISO GUM.

This test consists of 5 cylindrical plug gages in sizes 0.24950 inch, 0.90650 inch, 1.09450 inch 1.53820 inch and 2.83230 inch.
The intent of this ILC/PT is to provide a means for participant laboratories to determine the appropriateness and effectiveness of participant practices, training, and measurement uncertainty calculations relating to the calibration of Cylindrical Plug Gages.
Reference values are obtained by mechanical comparison. This program is suitable for participants who measure plain plug gages by mechanical comparison or similar methods, whose uncertainties are not significantly smaller than the typical reference uncertainties, and who calculate their uncertainties per the method of the ISO GUM.
