The intent of this ILC/PT is to provide a means for the participant to determine the appropriateness and effectiveness of participant practices, training, and measurement uncertainty relating to calibration of steel gage blocks.
The proficiency test kits include English gage blocks and Metric gage blocks in various sizes. Choose which kit best suits the capabilities of your laboratory
There are 9 different tests that you can choose from. You can choose a test set with either English or Metric size threads. TPG-105 has both English and Metric threads included in the set.
This program involves the measurement of the major diameter and pitch diameter of thread plug gages using the 3-wire method for the pitch diameter.
This proficiency test involves the measurement of the outside diameter of plain plug gages. The test sets have 4 members included in the set ranging in different sizes. There will be a total of 4 measurements taken on each member for a total of 16 measurements.
This proficiency test involves the measurement of the inside diameter of plain ring gages in various sizes. There are 3 ring gages in each test kit. The rings will be measured at 4 points on each ring for a total of 12 measurements. You can choose the kit that has the sizes that fit your laboratory’s capabilities.
These proficiency tests consist of sets of micrometer master (setting) rods. There are 2 test kits available in the sizes of 1 to 5 inches or 6 to 11 inches. A third longer set of three standards (17, 24 and 33 inch) have been procured and can be made available should there be requests.
These test kits consist of three sets of thread measuring wires in each kit. Each set has three wires. Measurements are to be taken at the middle of each wire. Wires range from 6 threads per inch to 40 threads per inch. Kits will contain a coarse, a medium and a fine set of wires.
